Vet the Vote

Vet the Vote

Veteran Service Organization
Vet the Vote Vet the Vote, based in Houston, Texas, is a national campaign dedicated to recruiting veterans and military family members to serve as the next generation of poll workers. As individuals who have dedicated their lives to serving their country, the team at Vet the Vote understands the importance of continuing that service beyond their time in uniform. The organization recognizes that America's elections are run by "we the people" and believes that it is essential for citizens to step forward and take an active role in ensuring safe and secure elections. With this in mind, Vet the Vote has made it their mission to recruit and train veterans and military family members to work as poll workers across the country. In 2022 alone, over 63,500 individuals joined Vet the Vote in raising their hands to serve as poll workers. Looking ahead to 2024, the organization has set an ambitious goal of recruiting over 141,000 veterans and military family members out of the 1 million poll workers needed nationwide. By participating in this initiative, volunteers will not only be supporting safe and secure elections but also gaining valuable insight into how elections are run at a grassroots level. Additionally, by showcasing their commitment to patriotic service through their involvement with Vet the Vote, participants hope to inspire fellow Americans to come together in support of our democratic process. Vet the Vote encourages all eligible individuals to join them in this important effort by signing up to volunteer as a poll worker or by supporting those who do. By doing so, they will be playing a crucial role in upholding one of the fundamental principles of American democracy – ensuring that every voice is heard through free and fair elections.
