Thank you for taking your valuable time to nominate a deserving Veteran Owned Business, company or individual to recognized for their contribution, great work and/or advocacy for utilization of Veteran Owned Businesses  (Full Criteria) main Awards page
-- 10-15 minutes to Complete
-- The more complete the information provided easier we can verify information and help the Judges choose the awards winners with a systematic process.

-- There will be 7-9 Judges that are community partners and will judge on the Merits of the nomination and the company/organization being nominated. 

The General Sam Houston Award of Excellence is presented to individuals who have demonstrated:

  •  Demonstrated exceptional leadership
  •  Dedication
  •  Resilience in advancing the mission of the HRVCC Organization.

The Veteran Owners Excellence Award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated:

  • Veteran business owners who have transitioned from entrepreneurship to playing pivotal roles
  • Veterans who continue to make significant contributions to the business community through their leadership, innovation, dedication, and commitment to sustainability
  • Business must be 51% veteran owned or greater

The Veteran Business Entrepreneur Award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated:

  •  Exceptional entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and success
  •  Outstanding personal growth, adaptation, leadership and dedication
  •  Business must be 51% veteran owned or greater

The Veteran Innovation Business Award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated:

  • Exceptional creativity and ingenuity in its operations, products, or services
  • Innovative spirit of veteran entrepreneurs groundbreaking ideas and solutions, significantly impacting their industry and community
  • Business must be 51% veteran owned or greater

The Veteran Owned Fastest Growing Business Award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated:

  • Veteran-owned business that has demonstrated exceptional growth and success over the past year
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, dedication, and resilience of veteran business owners who have achieved significant year-over-year growth (from 2022 to 2023)
  • Business must be 51% veteran owned or greater

The Champion of Veteran Owned Businesses Award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated:

  •   Demonstrated exceptional support and advocacy 
  •   Empower, promote, and collaborate with veteran entrepreneurs
  •   Deep commitment to the values and contributions of our nation’s veterans

The Veteran Community Businesses Impact Award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated:

  •  Outstanding dedication 
  •  Improving the veteran business ecosystem 
  •  Supporting veteran entrepreneurs

The Veteran Outstanding Employer Award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated:

  • Exceptional commitment to hiring, supporting, and empowering veterans
  • Employers who go above and beyond to create a veteran-friendly environment
  • Providing opportunities for career growth, development, and success
